A Royal Kitchen Legacy
Krua Apsorn's story began with Khun Chanchawee Sakunkan — "Aunt Daeng" — a civil servant at Bangkok's Irrigation Department whose remarkable cooking talent caught royal attention.
In 1969, she was invited to prepare a reception dinner for the Princess Mother Srinagarindra and Princess Galyani Vadhana. So impressed were they that Aunt Daeng became personal chef to the Princess Mother for over 25 years.
After the Princess Mother's passing in 1995, Aunt Daeng opened this restaurant, naming it "Krua Apsorn" (Kitchen of Apsorn) in honor of her beloved sister who encouraged her to share these royal recipes with the world.
